In this stream, the visa is granted for a period of up to four years and is intended for skilled workers who will be employed in occupations listed on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).

To become an approved Standard Business Sponsor under this stream, the sponsoring business must provide supporting documents demonstrating its lawful operation, commitment to employing local labor, and non-discriminatory recruitment practices.

The sponsoring employer is required to submit a detailed business plan as part of the nomination application. The business plan should outline the company's profile, the genuine need for the skilled worker in the nominated position, and the strategies in place to support and develop the Australian workforce.
